## Ingredients

- 4 lbs fresh soft-shell clams (steamers), purged and scrubbed
- 6 ears of fresh sweet corn, husked and halved
- 1 lb small red potatoes
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 2 cups dry white wine
- 2 cups water (or clam broth)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted (for dipping)
- Fresh parsley and lemon wedges for garnish

## Instructions

1. In a large, heavy-bottomed stockpot, combine the water, white wine, and quartered onion. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
2. Add the red potatoes to the pot, cover, and [steam](https://news.freshaig.com/steaming-seafood/) for about 10 minutes until they just begin to soften.
3. Add the halved sweet corn to the pot, replacing the cover, and steam for another 5 minutes.
4. Carefully add the fresh steamer [clams](https://news.freshaig.com/tag/clams/) to the top of the pile. Cover tightly and steam for 8 to 10 minutes, or until all the clam shells have opened wide. Discard any clams that remain closed.
5. Carefully remove the clams, corn, and potatoes to a large serving platter. Serve immediately with warm melted butter, fresh lemon wedges, and a side of the steaming broth.
